Vastu audit for homes

A structured audit of a property across sixteen directional zones, read against the birth chart of the person living in it.

Short answer

A Vastu audit assesses a property's layout across sixteen directional zones, examining entrances, room functions, and orientation. Dr. Mandeep C Saini reads the audit against the occupant's birth chart, so the recommendations suit the specific people living there. Remedies favour placement, colour, and material over structural change.

Vastu is often delivered as a fixed rulebook: this direction is good, that one is bad, move the bed. The rules are real, but applied without reference to who lives in the property they produce generic advice, and generic advice is what gives the subject its reputation.

This audit is structured differently. The property is assessed across sixteen directional zones in the usual way, and then read against the birth chart of the person or family living in it. The same corner of the same house does not carry the same weight for two different occupants, and the recommendations follow from that.

The other working constraint is practicality. Most people cannot move a staircase. Recommendations are ordered by what they cost to act on, starting with placement, colour, and material, and structural change is proposed only where nothing lighter will do.

Scope

What this consultation covers.

Sixteen-zone mapping

The property divided into sixteen directional zones, with the function currently occupying each one assessed against what that zone supports.

Entrance and orientation

The main entrance in detail, since it carries more weight in the assessment than any other single feature.

Room function against zone

Where the use of a room and the zone it sits in are working against each other, and which of the two is easier to change.

Read against the occupant's chart

The audit interpreted for the specific people living there, which is what separates this from a checklist.

Ordered remedies

Recommendations sequenced by cost and disruption, so the cheap changes that carry most of the benefit come first.

The session

How it runs.

  1. Before the session

You send a floor plan and the property's orientation in advance, along with birth details for the occupants. The zone mapping is done before the call.

  2. The audit

A walk through the mapping zone by zone, on a screen share, with the findings explained as they arise.

  3. Recommendations

The ordered remedy list, discussed against what is actually feasible in your property and your budget.

  4. Afterwards

A written summary of the zone findings and the recommendations in priority order.

Preparation

What to bring.

  • A floor plan. A hand-drawn one with rough dimensions is fine; an architect's drawing is better.
  • The orientation of the property. A compass reading taken at the main entrance, facing out, is enough.
  • Date, time, and place of birth for the people living there.
  • Photographs of the main entrance and of any room you already have concerns about.

What this is not

A Vastu audit is not a structural survey, a building inspection, or a valuation. It does not assess safety, condition, or compliance, and it is not a reason to skip a surveyor before buying a property.

Questions

About this consultation.

Do you visit the property?
This audit is conducted remotely from your floor plan, orientation, and photographs, which is what allows it to be offered to clients worldwide. An in-person visit is a different arrangement; ask through the contact form.
Will I have to rebuild anything?
Almost never. Recommendations are ordered so that placement, colour, and material come first, and structural change is proposed only where nothing lighter will address the finding.
Does it work for a rented property?
Yes, and the ordering by cost matters more there. A tenant cannot change a staircase, but almost everything at the top of the remedy list is available to them.
Can you audit a business premises?
Yes, though this service is scoped and priced for homes. For commercial premises, ask through the contact form so the scope can be set before anything is booked.
